The Chill Spot is back — and this time, we’re taking over the whole spot. 🇯🇲 Join Paper & Soul for an afternoon of books, Jamaican food, good conversation and even better company at One Love Jamaican Kitchen. Inspired by the Jamaican idea of a chill spot — somewhere you can slow down, kick back and feel at home — we’re bringing together 24 readers for a cozy afternoon centred around the things we love most: books, people and culture. Come with whatever you’re currently reading. There’s no assigned book and nothing you need to finish beforehand. Whether you’re deep into a romance, fantasy, memoir, literary fiction, horror, nonfiction—or something completely different—bring your book and come as you are. We’ll spend some time reading together, sharing what’s currently on our bookshelves, swapping recommendations, eating good Jamaican food and getting to know the people around us. And yes, coming alone is completely normal. GOOD TO KNOW There are 24 tickets available for this edition, and we’ll have the restaurant to ourselves. Your ticket reserves your place at The Chill Spot. Food and drinks are purchased separately at the restaurant, and guests should purchase at least one food item and one drink during the event.
