How Do You Sustain a Life in Creative Work? An evening with Tangent × Tusitala Being an artist or designer in Singapore has never come with a roadmap. With fewer traditional entry-level jobs and AI reshaping the industry, more creatives are realising they should take control by paving their own way. Being creative and being entrepreneurial aren’t mutually exclusive, and today there are more ways to make, share, and sustain a creative practice than ever before. Join Tangent founder Vaughn Tan for a conversation with three creatives who've each built a different kind of sustainable creative practice: Ong Kian Peng (artist-technologist and NTU professor) Tracy Phillips (Director, PPURPOSE) Tiah Nan Chyuan (Cofounder and director, FARM Studio and President, Singapore Institute of Architects) Together, they'll talk about the practical, sometimes unglamorous work of making a creative life last — how they've each defined a "good living" for themselves, the resourcing and relationships that got them there, and what they wish someone had told them earlier. This is an information session for Tangent Creative Edition (14.6.2027 to 7.7.2027), a 4-week in-person incubator for artists and designers exploring how to make their creative practice self-sustaining. This event is organised by Tangent in collaboration with Tusitala.
