DESCRIPTION:A night of crafts & connections inspired by Maija Isola ✨ In 1964\, Marimekko's founder had sworn the company would never print florals. She thought they were a lazy way to sell fabric. Maija Isola designed a whole flower series anyway\, and her poppy became the most recognizable print the company ever made. We're channelling that bold\, graphic style to make our very own hand-printed tea towels. You'll carve your own poppy stamps and repeat them across the fabric to create a design that's entirely your own. Each person will make one tea towel to take home. Linocut is a traditional printmaking technique where a design is carved into a soft linoleum block\, inked\, and then pressed onto a surface to create a bold\, graphic print. During the workshop\, you'll learn the basics step by step\, no prior experience needed. All art supplies included in the cost of the ticket.
