DESCRIPTION:Laurel Schwulst teaches design at Washington University in St. Louis and directs her own educational umbrella project\, Ultralight School. She previously taught at Yale and Princeton\, co-authored a book of fragrance reviews\, released an ambient travel app\, and held design roles at Linked by Air\, Kickstarter\, and Are.na. In this talk\, Laurel will share her practice through reflecting on her project-as-world\, Ultralight School. She’ll also explore the deeper questions: What is a world? How can artists / designers create them\, and why?
