She teaches design at Washington University in St. Louis and also directs her own educational umbrella project\, Ultralight School. Previously Laurel taught at Yale and Princeton\, co-authored a book of fragrance reviews\, released an ambient travel app\, and held design roles at Linked by Air\, Kickstarter\, and Are.na.
